This website, assentasystems.com, is run by Assenta Systems, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (“Assenta”, “we”, “us”). We have offices in the United Arab Emirates and India:

We decide how and why the personal data described in this policy is used, so we are responsible for it.
What this policy covers
This policy covers this website and the enquiries you send us through it. It does not cover the Assenta software that banks run on their own premises or in their own cloud tenancy. Data in those systems is handled under each bank’s contract with us and the bank’s own policies.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you use the contact form, we collect:
- your name;
- your work e-mail address;
- your organisation;
- your job title;
- your country;
- your phone number, if you choose to give it;
- your message.
Please do not include sensitive personal data, or any customer data, in your message.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our web server records basic technical data when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the date and time, and the page that referred you. We use these server logs to keep the website secure and working.
Cookies. Today the website uses only essential cookies, which it needs to work. We do not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics cookies later, we will ask for your consent before we set them, and we will update this policy.
Why we use it
We use your personal data:
- to answer your demo request or enquiry, and to arrange a demo;
- to send you the information you ask for about Assenta;
- to keep in touch about Assenta products and events that are relevant to your role, as part of normal business-to-business communication. You can ask us to stop at any time;
- to keep the website secure, find faults and prevent misuse;
- to meet our legal obligations.
We do not use your data to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Our legal bases
Depending on the law that applies, we rely on one or more of these bases:
- Consent: when you send the contact form and ask us to contact you, and for any non-essential cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests: to answer business enquiries, to communicate with professionals at banks and other organisations about our products, and to keep the website secure. We balance these interests against your rights.
- Steps before a contract: when you ask for a demo or a proposal, so that we can respond to your request.
- Legal obligation: when the law requires us to keep or disclose information.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with those who need it to help us run the website and respond to you:
- our website hosting provider, which stores the website and its server logs;
- our e-mail provider, which carries and stores the messages we exchange with you;
- professional advisers, such as lawyers and auditors, who owe us a duty of confidentiality;
- public authorities, when the law requires it.
Our providers may use the data only to provide their services to us. We do not sell or rent your personal data.
International transfers
We work from the United Arab Emirates and India, and our service providers may store or process data in other countries. When personal data moves across borders, we take the steps the applicable law requires to protect it, such as contractual safeguards with our providers.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries from the contact form for as long as we need them to respond to you and follow up, and for up to 24 months after our last contact with you. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period and then deleted automatically. We may keep data for longer when the law requires it. After that, we delete it or make it anonymous.
Your rights
Depending on where you are, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your data;
- object to our use of your data, including for business communication;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it;
- complain to the data protection authority that covers you.
These rights come from the data protection laws that cover you, including under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, where they apply.

How we protect it
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. The website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and only the people who need your enquiry to do their work can see it. No website or e-mail system is completely secure, so please do not send us confidential bank or customer information through the website.
Children
This website is for business professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we will say so clearly on this page.
